Despite the fact the weather at the moment doesn't exactly scream "Spring", I couldn't help trawling through my favourite clothing websites ordering clothes for warmer weather in an attempt to summon the sun. It doesn't seem to have worked yet.
There's fewer things I enjoy more than opening up a delivery that I've been anticipating for a while. That feeling came around once again last week when a huge box from & Other Stories landed on my doorstep (the DPD man had to witness me in PJs, with no makeup on and a red face from dancing around to Boney M, but we can leave that part out). I couldn't possibly go without showing you all what was inside, along with my other favourite pieces that I'll be wearing all Spring.
This straw circle bag is absolutely perfect for the warmer weather, with two sets of straps for carrying by hand or over your shoulder. The inside is large enough to fit all the essentials and has a chic, French feel to it that makes me just want to be sat outside a Parisian cafe in the sun. Next getaway perhaps?
The Gingham Crop Blouse has been a super popular item recently, so much so that it's no longer in stock online. I've been seeing so many absolute babes on my Insta wearing this top and I just had to get it. Check out the gorgeous Paige Leanne to see how she wears hers. Fingers crossed they bring it back soon! I got this blouse in a size 8 after hearing you should always size up with & Other Stories, but I think it's slightly too big - has anyone else ever had mixed experiences with their sizing?
My number one wardrobe staple at the moment is this gorgeous trench coat from H&M. I wear it pretty much every day as it goes with literally everything I own and it's so durable for the indecisive weather we keep having. It's also not too long that it would make me look stumpy like a lot of trench coats I've tried on, perfect for those on the shorter side (I'm 5"5 so you can see where it falls on me)! Yet another Parisian-esque piece making me desperate to visit once again.
Whilst we're going down that Parisian route, take a look at this amazing wrap midi dress from H&M (that place is like my home - can you tell?) It's made of super soft crepe fabric that feels amazing to wear and can be dressed up or down: perfect for both a sunny picnic with some sandals or a Spring wedding with some sling-back heels.
Okay, okay, by now you're thinking 'enough French-style things', but just look at these jeans from H&M. I've seen so many Parisian babes like Jeanne Damas and Sabina Socol rocking the wide leg jean whilst going about their insanely idyllic lives (I'm not jealous at all), so when I saw these on the rail I just knew they had to be mine. If I can get even this close to being Jeanne Damas then I'm ok with it. They fit like a dream and have a super flattering high waist with a tie belt to sinch you in, the wide leg that is a bit out-there compared to jeans I'd usually buy, but perfect for the warmer weather when your legs need to breathe! Looks like skinny jeans are dead... hey, I don't make the rules.
Now last, but by no means least, my favourite accessory which I'm going to be wearing with everything... these gorgeous gold earrings from & Other Stories. They're so elegant and minimal, I don't want to take them off!
